Misha Haghani, Esq.
Misha Haghani is an attorney and co-founder of Paramount Realty USA, the market leader in accelerated marketing and sales strategies for real estate. Over the course of a decade in the real estate auction business, Misha has marketed, sold, or advised on nearly $2 billion worth of real estate and mezzanine auctions, consisting of residential, commercial, land, industrial and special-use properties throughout the United States and Mexico. As a corporate and real estate attorney at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP, Misha represented lenders such as JPMorgan Chase, principals such as the Rockefeller family, and institutions in transactions valued at nearly $5 billion and consisting of commercial, industrial, residential and retail properties located internationally.
Misha is frequently quoted in major publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Crain’s, Real Estate Weekly, and The Real Deal and has appeared in television interviews by ABC Eyewitness News and Bloomberg TV. He has authored numerous articles on the subject of real estate auctions. He was recognized in 2008 by Real Estate New York as one of New York’s “30 Under 30: The Best and Brightest of New York Metro Commercial Real Estate’s Next Generation” and in 2010 by Real Estate Weekly in its prestigious annual publication of “Industry Leaders.”
Misha graduated cum laude with majors in Finance and International Business from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business, and with a concentration in Business Law and Regulation from the Cornell Law School. He continues to enhance his professional development by taking graduate level courses in real estate and finance at New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate.
SCOTT BURMAN
Scott Burman is a co-founder of Paramount Realty USA, the market leader in accelerated marketing and sales strategies for real estate. He has been in the real estate industry as an owner/developer and a partner of The Engel Burman Group since 2001. During his tenure at The Engel Burman Group, he has been at the forefront of the company’s business development and operations. Focusing on all aspects of real estate development, Scott has spearheaded many transactions of various product types and sizes. He has led large commercial acquisitions and dispositions, with values totaling in the hundreds of millions of dollars, and has also negotiated land acquisitions for both assisted living and multi-family housing projects throughout the region.
Scott has a keen understanding of property finance and has structured and closed a wide array of financing transactions, also valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars. He is directly responsible for the Engel Burman Group’s expansion of The Bristal Assisted Living chain into the State of New Jersey as well as a number of its Suffolk County locations. Scott has appeared in front of Planning and Town Boards across the region and has established a track record for obtaining municipal approvals for difficult development projects. Scott has extensively negotiated commercial leasing transactions for office and industrial properties under the company’s ownership. He has a unique eye for planning and development of real estate projects and a vision for seeing them to finality and success. His experience in these regards is invaluable at Paramount Realty USA.
Scott is an executive board member for the Long Island Real Estate Group and is co-founder of their New Generation Division. He also chairs the Associate Board for ABLI – The Association for a Better Long Island. Scott is also the recipient of The Long Island Business 2010 “40 Under 40” Award, as well as the LIBN “Real Estate Award for Rising Star” in Commercial Development in 2010. Scott received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
Melody Azizi, Esq.
Melody is an attorney and a Director with Paramount Realty USA, where she has participated in the origination and execution of over $100 million of residential and commercial auctions. Prior to joining Paramount Realty USA, Melody worked for Sutphin Properties, a commercial real estate development company, where she reviewed and analyzed commercial leases, drafted and negotiated amendments, and prepared lease abstracts for large commercial leases and ground leases. She has also worked in the legal department of Thor Equities, a leader in urban real estate development and leasing and management, where she provided legal support, conducted research, composed legal memoranda, and reviewed and analyzed lease documents, license agreements and service agreements. Melody’s experience also includes interning for New York’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development, where she was responsible for tenant actions and landlord-tenant mediation. Prior to that, she worked as a licensed real estate agent at Bond New York, one of the largest brokerage firms in New York City.
Melody received a Juris Doctor from New York Law School, where she was an Associate Member of the Center for Real Estate Studies. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from New York University.
Nayiri Saghdejian, MRED
Nayiri is a Director with Paramount Realty USA, where she has participated in the origination and execution of over $100 million of residential and commercial auctions. Prior to joining Paramount Realty USA, Nayiri was a Development Manager at Forest City Development in the company’s Los Angeles office, where she was responsible for new business development in emerging markets in and around Los Angeles, as well as the project management of residential developments, including a proposed $400 million downtown revitalization project in Fresno. Prior to that, Nayiri worked at Lance-Kashian & Co., one of the largest development firms in central California, as well as American Express in New York as a financial analyst and a marketing analyst.
Nayiri received a Master of Real Estate Development degree from the University of Southern California’s School of Policy, Planning and Development and a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business in Finance and Marketing.
